VISION 2026 adopts the family of Muddassir Khan, shot dead during the Delhi Violence
 
The Women Education and Empowerment Trust TWEET, an NGO based in Delhi, working under ‘Vision 2026’ adopted family of Muddassir Khan, who shot dead during the Delhi violence.
 
Mudassir Khan was attacked by a violent mob outside his home on 25th February. He sustained bullet injury on his head and was declared brought dead by doctors at GBT hospital. He used to work in a plastic scrap recycling unit and live with his wife and eight children in Kardampuri area of North East Delhi. Mudassir's youngest daughter Inaya was just 15 days old when she lost her father. Mudassir has left behind his old parents, wife and 8 daughters. He had the dream of making his teenage daughters doctor and teacher.
 
Financial assistance of Rs. 15,000 has been handed over to the family, which includes Rs. 1500 each to a child and Rs. 3,000 to their mother and this will continue every month until the children finish their education or get married. TWEET will regularly monitor children’s education and will provide all support to achieve their father’s dream.
