A new ray of hope for the people of Mewat - Human Welfare Foundation
Mewat Haryana: Water is the most important thing for a human being to be alive. Perhaps keeping this importance of water in mind, our forefathers had called drinking water a virtue. Our beloved India, which the world knows as the country of the village. There is so much scarcity of clean water in the village of India even today that it cannot be described in words.
Mewat
There is an area of Haryana, which is known as Mewat, 90 km from the national capital Delhi. You can guess the water shortage in Mewat with the fact that many villages here do not have drinking water facilities. They either have to bring water daily from distant villages or they have to buy tanker water. Which is impossible for people in the most backward area of the country like Mewat, because these people have no means of earning.
Human Welfare Foundation
The Human Welfare Foundation, which is one of the leading organizations of the country in the service of the people, understood this problem of the people of Mewat. A survey of the entire area was conducted by his research team. After that, according to the report that came out, HWF decided to set up my RO plant in Marora village of Mewat. So that 1400 families in 3 nearby villages (Balai, Haibatka, Marora) can be provided with clean water.
Now another issue came to light that there is no groundwater in Mewat or else how to arrange water. So many places to talk about, water arrangements were made from Khanpur village in a neighboring place.
Earlier, it would have been comforting that now all the troubles were not going to happen. How to transport water from Marora village to the surrounding village was a big issue. While there were problems on one side, on the other side, there were also donors of the Foundation who stand shoulder to shoulder in every difficulty. It was decided that a tracker and trolley will be purchased and along with that 1000 gallons of water will be purchased which will be in people's homes so that it can take water from the tanker.
Problems & Solutions
If you feel now that all is well manned, then you are in misunderstanding. The biggest problem was to instill confidence in the people of the village that they could take water from you. The team of the Foundation visited the village several times and talked to the people and won their trust so that they get people registered to get water. Eventually, the Foundation's hard work paid off and people supported us a lot and within a year the entire plant was ready.
Inaugural Ceremony
Higher authorities of the Human Welfare Foundation inaugurated it on 11 March 2020. On this occasion, Foundation General Secretary T Arif Ali, Vice President Mamuni Maulvi, Assistant General Secretary Muazzam Naik and prominent social personalities of Mewat area flagged off the water tanker. Mr. T Arif Ali, in his presidential address, dedicated the plant to the community of Mewat and appealed to take care of it like their homes.
RO Plant
In this plant operated by the Foundation, water will first be filtered and then it will be transported to the village with the help of a tanker where people will be able to take water from there when it reaches a certain place. This entire plant has been installed by the Foundation with the help of donors, for 27 lakhs. The cost of running it is about 80000 every month, which includes the salary of 3 people and the cost of diesel etc. It is a matter of happiness that the common people of this place are incurring more expenses. Which is giving a real idea to the Foundation's vision in which people were intended to "Self-Sustain".
The Human Welfare Foundation is the reason for the smile on the face of thousands of families in the Mewat region today, which solved the problems that they had been waiting for years.
