Yet again ‘Vision 2026’ extends it hands to the victims of Delhi violence that left many families in despair and distress. This time, Vision helps Salman from Mustafabad in North East Delhi, who was shot in his right thigh and severely injured, to open his own restaurant in Seelampur. The restaurant was inaugurated by T. Arif Ali, General Secretary of Human Welfare Foundation.

Salman hails from Bihar and came to Delhi in 2001 in search of livelihood. His persistence and dedication paid off as he managed to open a small restaurant in Shastri Nagar. On 23 February, the day riots started in North East Delhi, the owner of his restaurant building asked Salman to vacate the shop so that the owner could renovate it. Rioters looted all his belongings while he was driving home loading all his items. The next day, on 24 February, he was shot in leg and seriously injured while returning from morning prayer. He underwent treatment and recovered but could not remove the bullet. Doctor has advised to do a surgery for the same later. By helping Salman open a new restaurant in Seelampur, Vision made him stand on his own feet again.
